Float Ice Cream

Ice cream float or Ice cream soda is the carbonated beverage/soda that contain a floating ice cream on its top. The sweetened syrups and liquids are also replacements for the soda drink.

It was invented when Robert McCay Green, Philadelphia, PA while selling the flavored drink on a regular hot day, ran out of ice to be served along with the drink and borrowed a scoop of vanilla ice cream from the neighborhood vendor, and served the drink along with a scoop of ice cream floating on it and thus the story of its origin and the name it is called.
