Amul to use only natural vanilla in its ice-cream

Amul, the market leader in ice-creams in the country, would use only pure natural vanilla for its total range of vanilla ice-creams. The cooperative switched over to use of natural vanilla in all its ice-creams a month ago.

Amul claims to be the first national brand to do so. Amul decided to shift to use of natural vanilla in its ice-creams in order to support the farmers of vanilla production in Kerala and to provide them market access.

In order to serve the consumers better by giving them a healthier product, vanilla ice-cream with natural flavour will be available in a wide array of packs. The 50 ml and 100 ml packs will be available at the current price of Rs 5 and Rs 10, respectively. The 1.25 litre pack will be priced at Rs 80 for Gujarat and Rs 85 for the rest of the country while the price of 1.5 litre pack will be Rs 100.
