Authorities declare a gunman tried to steal a man selling ice cream on his bicycle in Fort Myers on Monday.
Lee County sheriff's deputies state 35-year-old Lazaro Sanchez, of Fort Myers, was riding his ice cream sales bicycle in the 5400 chunk of Third Avenue, when a black male hauling a handgun jumped in face of him.
Sanchez says the man pointed the pistol at him then demanded cash previous to a vehicle turned onto Third Avenue and frightened the suspect away, according to a sheriff's office report.
The gunman did not get away with any cash.
Sanchez told deputies he later on saw the suspect with a white male on Fifth Avenue in Pine Manor.
Sanchez says the men endangered to injure him.
Deputies are investigating the event.
